CCG (Scotland) has delivered a new £3 million Larkfield Early Learning Centre in Greenock on behalf of Inverclyde Council, in partnership with hub West Scotland.

The new learning facility was designed by Holmes Miller and is registered to provide early years education for up to 100 children from 0-5 years old supported by 43 staff.

Councillor Jim Clocherty, convener of education and communities at Inverclyde Council, said: "The new building was constructed almost entirely during the pandemic which makes the achievements of CCG Scotland, the contractor, architects Holmes Miller, along with our own estate's team, even more impressive.

"The new building and outdoor provision have significantly enhanced the quality of the centre and the opportunities for learning both indoors and outdoors."

Kevin Doyle, operations director of hub West Scotland, added: "hub West Scotland were delighted to attend the official opening of the Larkfield Early Years Centre. This investment by Inverclyde Council has created another inspiring high-quality learning environment helping to shape children's future development."

Larkfield is a purpose-built, entirely new build project that is one of five that CCG has delivered across the region since 2017. The programme of works forms part of a £250 investment by the council into its education improvement programme which has been designed to improve the availability and quality of education for nursery and school pupils.
