North Ayrshire Council has unveiled plans for a new housing development on part of the former Garnock Academy site.
The Council is holding a consultation on the final plans for 50 properties, which include a mix of general needs houses, amenity bungalows and homes suitable for wheelchair users.
It is hoped that construction can start in spring/summer 2023 on the circa. £10million project which will be supported by Scottish Government grant.
Scott Davidson, Cabinet Member for Place at North Ayrshire Council, said: "We have made a commitment to deliver 1,625 new homes for our residents and this ambitious development is a key part of those plans.
"The former Garnock Academy site will hold nostalgic memories for many people in the Garnock Valley and it’s great to see the site being given a new lease of life with the creation of more modern, energy-efficient homes."
The site will provide a mix of two, three, four, five and six bedroom homes.
The Council is also holding a local, in person, event on Thursday, 27 October, 2022.
