BEAR Scotland will launch a programme of road surface improvement works on the A82 Spean Bridge from Tuesday 30 August, on behalf of Transport Scotland.
The scheme, involving the resurfacing of a 250 metre section of carriageway near the Aonach Mor Hotel, will create a safer and smoother journey for road users.
The project is expected to take place over one day, with works to take place between 7am to 7pm, subject to weather conditions.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers as well as motorists, a lane closure with a 10mph convoy system and temporary traffic lights will be in place on the day of the works.
Access through the site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: "This surfacing project on the A82 at Spean Bridge will help to address defects and greatly improve the route for road users.
"The traffic management proposed is essential for the safety of roadworkers and road users. Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can.
"We thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance and encourage road users to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information."
