Transport Scotland are seeking input on the proposed development of the Aviemore to Carrbridge Non-Motorised User preferred route design.
Minister for Active Travel, Patrick Harvie said: "The Scottish Government is committed to promoting active travel in Scotland and we are working with our partners in the Cairngorms National Park Authority, The Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Transport Partnership and Sustrans to deliver the Aviemore to Carrbridge Non-Motorised User (NMU) route.
"Having identified the preferred route for walking, cycling, wheeling and horse riding last year, we are now engaging with the public in advance of a planning application for the scheme, expected in the summer.
"The 10 km segregated preferred route will provide a safer, more direct route between Aviemore and Carrbridge linking up with existing NMU routes in the area.
"The new route will also provide an opportunity for circular trips between Aviemore, Carrbridge and Boat of Garten by using the existing Speyside Way.
"I would urge anyone with an interest to visit one of the public exhibitions or view the virtual exhibition and give us their views on the preferred option."
