Construction Continues On £7.4m New Paisley Learning & Cultural Hub

Construction News Image
Arc-tech (Scotland) has announced that construction work is continuing on the £7.4 million Paisley Learning & Cultural Hub in Renfrewshire.

The new facility, located on High Street in the town centre, comprises the repurposing and reconfiguration of former retail premises into a digitally-focused learning hub for the local community with services including a children's library and free-to-use IT systems.

The hub is the latest example of how Renfrewshire Council is helping repopulate the town's High Street by finding new cultural and community uses for vacant retail property as well as the upgrading of venues and spaces, including Paisley Museum and the Town Hall.

John Gallacher, Arc-Tech (Scotland) Managing Director, said: "Paisley Learning & Cultural Hub is the latest example of Renfrewshire Council's ambitious plan to increase footfall to Paisley Town Centre and improve its cultural services. Arc-Tech's experience in commercial refurbishment is extensive and we are delighted to add this project to our burgeoning portfolio. I look forward to seeing how the works programme will progress over the coming months."
