BEAR Scotland has been commissioned by Transport Scotland to progress the A95 Lackghie carriageway realignment project.
The project consists of the widening, horizontal and vertical realignment of 2km of single carriageway from the eastern extend of Drumuillie on the A95, bringing it up to current design standards. The scheme will improve forward visibility, ride quality and surface drainage thereby increasing overall road user safety.
The proposals also include a parallel active travel route in the verge of the proposed A95 realignment to be constructed as part of the works. A walking cycling and horse riding audit is underway as part of the design process.
