CCG (Scotland) has won a prestigious public sector award for innovation for a West Dunbartonshire development.
Creveul Court, located in Alexandria, West Dunbartonshire, is a specially-designed development for the elderly and is a project that was delivered by CCG (Scotland) on behalf of West Dunbartonshire Council.
Comprising 22 one-and-two-bedroom homes designed by Anderson Bell Christie, it is the first project delivered by the local authority that utilises the newly-created 'WDC Dementia Design Guide' whereby the homes and the wider development has unique features to support tenants in later life and to extend their independence. Enhanced accessibility, future adaptability and cognitive design features such as specific colour schemes and bespoke signage are amongst the measures.
The development has now been credited with the Association of Public Excellence Award for Innovation.
