BEAR Scotland is continuing a £575,000 road surface improvement scheme on the A90/A92 near Stonehaven, after the works were delayed by weather.
The works, to address defects in the road surface on the northbound section of the A90 where it connects to the A92, between Stonehaven and Westport, began on Friday 08 October and had been due to be completed by Wednesday 13 October. However due to inclement weather impacting works, this project has now been extended and is expected to be completed by 6.30am on Saturday 23 October.
Within the scheme extents the A92 on-slip will also remain closed with signed diversion routes in place to guide motorists to their destination.
All relevant stakeholders have been informed of the changes.
All waste materials and spoil resulting from these road works will be re-cycled in accordance with Scottish Environment Project Agency (SEPA) policies and procedures.
