JR Scaffold has announced the appointment of Ronnie Charters as their new HSQE Manager for the business.
Bringing more than 30 years of experience in the sector, Ronnie is a well-known figure within the industry thanks to his involvement with the National Access Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) for Scotland and Northern Ireland. He will continue with his role as Regional Chair as he moves forward in his new position with The JR Group.
Glasgow-based Ronnie, has built up his wealth of experience in HSQE by working offshore, previously working with the CITB National Construction College and nuclear power stations.
In this newly created role, he will be pushing forward the development and maintenance of the company's management processes and safe systems of work. Ronnie will also be working closely with a number of organisations to share and promote best practice throughout the business, and lead on industry updates on relevant legislation and procedures.
Ronnie is delighted to join the vibrant team at The JR Group. He said: "Having worked in various settings for many years, I have built up a wealth of experience that I am excited to bring to JR Scaffold. The team at JR are driven and passionate about being forward-thinking and a driving-force within the sector here in Scotland. It is these core values that attracted me to this new challenge and I am really looking forward to making it my own.

The JR Group employs around 200 staff and was founded in Govan in 1995. It started as a scaffolding business and is now one of the largest building and construction firms in Scotland. The business operates throughout Scotland and Northern England working on behalf of a number of the UK's leading housebuilders, registered social landlords and private clients.
