The Chartered Institute of Housing in Scotland (CIH Scotland) has announced that it is seeking to appoint three new members to join its Scotland Board.
With Esther Wilson, John Kerr and Margaret Moore all due to complete a maximum six-year term, three places are available for ambitious housing professionals that want to make a difference to their professional body.
Applicants do not currently have to be CIH members, and the Institute is keen to encourage applications from across the housing sector with a specific interest in applications from those with experience working on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion issues, those working in the PRS, recent student learners or younger practitioners. The application process has also changed so that paper and video applications are both accepted
Current CIH Scotland Chair Esther Wilson said: "If you had ever considered joining a board to get more experience of working at a strategic level or you just want to give something back to your profession, then do consider applying to join the CIH Scotland board.
"We are looking for new candidates with a real passion for their role in the sector and for board members from all walks of the housing profession. Whether you work for an RSL, local authority or a letting agent, you are student learner, brand new to the sector or an experienced leader, we want to hear from you.
"We have changed the application process to make it easier than ever to apply - you can submit a letter or a video application explaining what you would bring to the Board. Just remember and send your application in by October 13 to our national director Callum Chomczuk."
