Glasgow City Council's planning committee has approved a proposal from Bellway Homes for the development of some 400 new homes at the former Ruchill Hospital site in north Glasgow.
Bellway Homes are now set to build 160 one and two-bedroom flats and 243 three and four-bedroom houses at the site of the former hospital, which closed in 1998.
According to reGlasgow, the former hospitals category A listed water tower and a category C listed stairwell will both be maintained in the new development.
