Work on a six-week project to upgrade the drainage at Carnoustie Beach will get underway on Monday 06 September, Angus Council has announced.
Making the announcement, the Council said: "Due to the extent of the excavations the beach path will be closed from the car park opposite the Railway Station to the west side and area adjacent to Seabrae to the east. There will be diversion using Tayside Street and Admiral Street.
"While the path and adjacent area will be closed as part of the construction site, the beach will remain open."
Robertson Construction are coordinating the project, with Kilmac carrying out the onsite works.
