Highland Road To Close For Patch Works

Patching works are set to begin on the B873 road in the Highlands.

A road closure will be in place on the B873 Syre – Altnaharra Road via Loch Naver, between its junction with the A836 Dornoch Bridge – Tongue – John O' Groats Road, and its junction with B871 Kinbrace – Syre – Strathnaver – Bettyhill Road. This will be in place from Monday 12 July until Friday 13 August, from 7am to 6pm each day to facilitate the works.

The scheme will allow for patching to single track sections of road with narrow/soft verges.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and pedestrian access and refuse collection will be controlled.

Motorists are advised to use an alternative route available via the A836 Dornoch Bridge – Tongue – John O'Groats Road, and the B871 Kinbrace – Syre – Strathnaver – Bettyhill Road.
