West Lothian Council has announced that Beatlie Road in Winchburgh is to close from Monday 31 May to be redeveloped.
The work is expected to be complete in approximately seven months.
The closure is required as part of a major redevelopment of the road network, which will see a new core road constructed to connect Winchburgh town centre to the new motorway junction at Beatlie Bridge.
The new core road will become the main route through Winchburgh, reducing traffic on the B9080 and the central parts of the community, with work taking place in 2022.
Extensive consultation has been carried out with the local community in the last six months by Winchburgh Developments Limited.
