Kier Construction have been appointed as the preferred contractor for the construction of a new build primary school at Netherthird, East Ayrshire Council has announced.
The project team and Head Teacher, Jemma Donnelly will be working closely with Kier Construction over the next few weeks to formalise the delivery programme for the construction, including developing a final design solution that can be delivered within the budget.
Councillor Fiona Campbell, Cabinet Member for Skills and Learning said: "This is a really exciting time for Netherthird Primary School and the whole community. Now that the Council has appointed Kier Construction, the project team, with Head Teacher Jemma Donnelly, will be able to press ahead with developing a design for the new build school. They will be keeping parents, carers and the young people updated throughout the process."
East Ayrshire Council has worked with Kier Construction previously on the William McIlvanney Campus in Kilmarnock.
