A section of a building in Helensburgh has collapsed onto the street prompting action from Police Scotland.
An area of stonework from the front elevation of the property fell onto the public footpath and roadway at the weekend.
Argyll and Bute Council's building standards team attended the scene of the property, which has been unoccupied for a number of years. The local authority used its statutory powers to close the public footpaths and road in the immediate vicinity, with traffic diversions put in place.
The council's appointed consultant structural engineer attended the site following the incident.
A road closure and restriction of access to the area will remain in place until either the owners instruct the necessary works to repair the building to remove any further danger or the council instructs necessary works.
