CCG Projects Nominated For Awards

Seven projects delivered by the CCG Group have been announced as finalists in the 2020 Scottish Home Awards, as well as a specialist award commemorating community contribution.

The awards list is as follows:

• Affordable Housing Development of the Year (large) – Greendykes Phase G in Edinburgh, a 75-home mixed-tenure development that was recently completed on behalf of The City of Edinburgh Council. CCG is nominated in partnership with the Council and our architectural partner, Anderson Bell Christie.

• Affordable Housing Development of the Year (large) – Newfield Sq in Glasgow, a 178-home development that was recently completed on behalf of Sanctuary Homes. Newfield Sq, in partnership with MAST Architects, Carbon Futures and Glasgow City Council, plays host to 10 pilot homes that have designed in order to assess the difference in building standards from Silver Active to Passivhaus accredited levels of performance.

• Affordable Housing Development of the Year (mid-sized) – Longpark Phase 7, a development of 48 homes in Kilmarnock that was recently completed on behalf of Cunninghame Housing Association. This project has also been nominated in the Housing Regeneration Project of the Year category. Also nominated alongside Cunninghame HA is Sanctuary Homes for Wellmeadow Street in Paisley and Shawbridge Street in Pollokshaws, an amenity housing development completed by CCG on behalf of Loretto Housing/ Wheatley Group.

• Affordable Housing Development of the Year (small) – Andrew Nisbet Place, Hurlford, is a bespoke assisted living development that was constructed on behalf of East Ayrshire Council as part of a strategic partnership that will see over 270 affordable homes delivered across the region of East Ayshire over the coming years.

• Community Contribution – this award celebrates the level of contribution performed by a partnership as a result of housing development of which, East Ayrshire Council and CCG have been nominated as a result of the affordable housing programme in the region. Thus far, nearly £40,000 has been invested in local communities as well as the creation of jobs and training opportunities.

• House of the Year – CCG Homes have been nominated for the Terraced Villa house type presently on sale at the flagship Riverford Gardens development. This house type won the equivalent award (Best Family Home) at last year’s Herald Property Awards.

• Renovation of the Year – Bell Street, Glasgow: a stunning conversion of the former Bell Street Stables that has conceived 52 one and two-bedroom flats. CCG completed this project on behalf of Lowther Homes/ Wheatley Group.

The Scottish Home Awards are set to take place on 11 June 2020.
