Glasgow-based Pacific Building are nearing completion of a major development at Manchester International Airport, having masterminded the creation of an all-new retail experience for World Duty Free (WDF).
The project commenced in August 2019 and is due to be handed over to the client at the end of summer 2020.
Operating as main contractors, Pacific have been tasked with making the design concept come alive for Madrid-headquarted WDF.
There are no fewer than an incredible 71 globally renowned brands that will showcase their products over a massive floorspace, including Tom Ford, Givenchy, Chanel, Dior, Lance, Johnnie Walker, Glenlivet, Versace, Jimmy Choo, Bacardi, Ray Ban and Tiffany & Co.
Spanish, French and German-speaking teams have been interacting with Pacific to ensure the specifications and requirements for these household-name brands are met.
Created from an empty shell, the WDF project has involved extensive mechanical and electrical works, plus the installation of flooring, partition walling, tiling, new ceilings, doors, cash and till units, signage, digital screens, alarm arrays and sprinkler systems.
