The Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA) has announced the programme of events for its upcoming Development and Procurement Conference.
Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning Kevin Stewart will open the conference and will be followed by a session on the Social Housing and Green Infrastructure Fund projects, Meadowbank, Queensland and North Maryhill.
Delegates will also hear a panel discuss the opportunities and barriers of green infrastructure. Workshops will explore topics, including how green infrastructure can help climate change; how to deliver high quality, affordable homes with minimal carbon emissions; how to create better greenspaces for nature and residents, collaborative procurement and including social enterprises in contracts.
Barbara Morton, Director of Sustainable Procurement, will discuss sustainable procurement, and David Gray Managing Director of AM Bid; Julie Caughey, housing procurement specialist; and Jennifer Phin Managing, Director A.C. Whyte & Co, will lead a session on community benefits.

The Development and Procurement Conference is taking place on 17 and 18 March at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh. The Development Conference will take place on 17 March, and the Procurement Conference on 18 March.
The delegate fee for both days starts at £229 for SFHA members (£319 for non-members), which includes attendance, lunch and all refreshments.
