The Highland Council has announced that work to repair a collapsed pavement at the entrance of The Victorian Market (Inverness) at Market Lane from Church Street will commence on Sunday 9th February 2020.
Contractors will be on site from 8am to 6pm to start this repair. The lane will be dug up and closed for public access throughout this time.
The Victorian Market is not open to the public on Sunday so there will be no access to the following businesses who have been notified by Highland Council of the works: The Market Bar, Gorgeous Hairdresser, Soul Seeker Yoga Studio and The Malt Room.
Depending on the extent of repairs required, works may have to continue on Monday 10th February, and if this is the case, the lane will remain closed overnight on Sunday 9th February.
Access to the Malt Room and Soul Seeker Yoga Studio will not be possible until the repair is complete. Access to Gorgeous Hairdressers and The Market Bar can be gained through the Victorian Market from Monday 10th February from 7.00am – 6.30pm.
Signage will be displayed to direct customers through the Victorian Market to the Market Bar and Gorgeous Hairdressers for the duration of the works.
If works are required to continue into Tuesday 11th February then the Council will inform all affected businesses on Monday 10th February.
