A new affordable housing development at Gott in Tingwall is nearing completion, Hjaltland Housing Association has announced.
The development comprises 24 new properties in total, 18 of which are available for social rent, whilst the remaining 6 are part of the Scottish Government's New Supply Shared Equity Scheme.
The £4.1 million project was designed by Visio Architecture and constructed by E&H Building Contractors Ltd under a design and build contract, with £2.5 million being provided by the Scottish Government as part of their commitment to delivering affordable homes across the country.
These properties will be available to apply for from Thursday 24 October and all expressions of interest must be submitted before the deadline of 2pm on Tuesday 29 October.
The properties available for social rent include:
• 12 x one bedroom flats
• 2 x two bedroom houses
• 2 x three bedroom houses
• 2 x four bedroom houses.
There will be an opportunity to view a number of the properties on Friday 25 October 2019 between 2pm and 4pm. Hjaltland staff will be available to answer any questions and provide information for any interested parties.
The completion of this project further demonstrates the Association's ongoing commitment to supporting communities throughout Shetland. Within its five year business plan further developments are planned for Sandwick, Gulberwick, Walls, Scalloway, Aith, Brae and Lerwick.
