Stirling Council has announced that resurfacing works to improve the A875 between Endrick Bridge and Boquhan have gotten underway as part of a commitment to upgrading the rural road network.
Resurfacing has begun between Endrick Bridge and Boquhan and is scheduled to last until Wednesday 30 October.
The existing road surface is in a very poor condition. The works will require the replacement of the existing base and surface of the road to an overall depth of 80mm.
These improvements follow on from the recent drainage and footway upgrade works on this section of road.
A road closure will be in place between 8am-6pm, with diversions in place via the A811 – A81 – A875 (please see attached map).
An alternative diversion for HGVs is also in place via the A875 – A811 – A809 – B834 – A81 – A875.
There will be no closure on Friday or Saturday, but weather and resource dependent, the road will be closed on Sunday.
Access for residents within the closure area will be permitted.
Due to the material used there will be a period where no vehicle access will be possible at all when this has been freshly laid.
