Locals in the Shetland Islands have been invited to a climate change event at Islesburgh Community Centre this weekend.
Members of Shetlands Islands Council's management team will be on hand to offer energy saving advice, funding information and greener travel options.
Running in support of Scotland's Climate Change week, the event aims to help people make changes to their day-to-day lives that will minimise their waste and reduce their carbon footprint, including having energy efficient homes and using more sustainable travel.
Advice on waste, waste minimisation and recycling will also be available at the event, as well as information on electric car charge points.
Councillor Ryan Thomson, Chair of the Council's Environment and Transport Committee, said: "The Scottish Government has recently set a target of 2045 for net-zero emissions of all greenhouse gases for Scotland. To achieve this, we all need to act and I hope that households and businesses throughout Shetland will play their part too.
"We need to transform society to make a difference to our climate by being more sustainable in everything we do. This local event during Scotland's Climate Change week will provide help and information that I hope people will find helpful."
The drop-in event will take place at Islesburgh Community Centre on Saturday 12 October, from 2pm to 5pm.
