Stirling Council have announced that essential resurfacing works will get underway on a section of the A9 in Plean over the next four Sundays, starting on 06 October.
The Council is taking the action due to the poor condition of the existing road surface, which requires replacement of the base and surface course.
The work will take place between the primary school and the de-restriction signs at the east end of the village.
As such, the A9 will be closed from the roundabout at Willow Brae to the junction with Glen Road on four successive Sundays between 8am and 6pm.
Access for residents within the affected area will be permitted and emergency Service vehicles will be able to reach the area at all times.
Diversions will be in place via the A9-A91-A905-A88-A9.
