Funding has been confirmed to upgrade a key pathway in St Andrews.
The Lade Braes route runs from the outskirts of St Andrews into the centre of the town. It will receive a £300,000 facelift from partners Fife Council and Sustrans.
The money will be used to upgrade the existing path, replace broken seats, improve signage, install new litter bins, provide solar lighting and carry out some minor tree work.
Fife Council's Committee Convener, Cllr Judy Hamilton said: "I welcome this investment in partnership with Sustrans. I am very proud that we are still investing in our communities and our priority of promoting health and wellbeing, even in these very challenging times. I look forward to seeing this new development being brought forward."
