Angus Council has revealed updated plans for the continuing upgrades at Westway in Arbroath.
The contractor has begun excavating at the junction of Westway Retail Park and installing new ducts for traffic signals this week.
This means there will be access only to traffic via the retail park junction.
A temporary exit route has been created alongside KFC, so that traffic can leave the park onto Westway via the service road to the north of the retail park.
Westway will remain open to two-way traffic.
This section of the works is expected to be completed by Friday 20 September.
