Resurfacing Works This Weekend In East Kilbride

South Lanarkshire Council has announced that East Kilbride Expressway will be closed this weekend for resurfacing work.

Scotland TranServ, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will resurface approximately 700m of carriageway, between Douglas Street and the A725 junction with the B7012.

In order to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible it will be necessary to close the trunk road from 8pm on Friday 9 August to 6am on Monday 12 August.

Local diversions will be in place throughout. Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles, although we would still advise that they exercise caution through the work site.
