Pacific Building Wins Gold At RoSPA

Pacific Building has been awarded Gold by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Welcoming the award, Pacific Building Managing Director Brian Gallacher, said: "This is yet another example of how we at Pacific Building strive to be the best at absolutely everything we do.

"This award came after a fairly rigorous assessment of our processes and practices.

"It demonstrates our professionalism and commitment not just to delivering the best for our customers but looking after their safety too, while protecting the well-being of our staff."

Julia Small, RoSPA's head of qualifications, awards and events, added: "The RoSPA Awards have become the key fixture in the health and safety calendar.

"Highly-respected, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, RoSPA award winners benefit from the wide-ranging rewards of improved sector reputation."

The award to Pacific is non-competitive and is based on the company's individual occupational health and safety performance assessed against the judging criteria.

The firm had to provide evidence of a good health and safety management system by answering key performance questions and supporting the answers with a concise portfolio of relevant documentation.

Mr Gallacher will be presented with the award during a ceremony at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central on September 12.
