Resurfacing work is to commence on the A70 Cumnock to Ayr Road.
This scheme will see the stretch from Coalhall Rail Bridge to the substation near West Tarelgin Farm improved.
The road will be closed over three upcoming weekends, which include: Saturday 29 June and Sunday 30 June; Saturday 06 July and Sunday 07 July; and Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July.
A full closure of this section of the road will be in place from 7am on Saturday until 6pm on Sunday during each of these periods.
A signed diversion route will be in place via B730 Drongan, B7046 Sinclairston, U728 Glenconner, before re-joining the A70 at Mote Toll (West of Ochiltree) and vice versa. Vehicular access onto the A70 during the road closure periods will not be possible via the B730 Stair Road.
