Scottish Water Named Top Employer For Women

Scottish Water has been hailed a leader on workplace gender equality after making the Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2019.

The prestigious list spotlights UK employers who make gender equality a key part of their business strategy, with a commitment to creating inclusive workplace cultures and encouraging women to progress at all levels.

A Scottish Water statement, said: "This amazing recognition of the work we've done to improve gender equality across Scottish Water is thanks to our family-friendly policies; commitment to health and well-being; approach to developing our talent; inclusive culture and flexible agile-working practices.

"We're proud of our Women in Scottish Water Belong Network, which is influential in breaking down barriers and supporting employees.

"Our active Gender Equality Network is open to all genders, at all roles and levels, with a particular focus on helping women flourish in the business."

Shirley Campbell, Scottish Water's Director for People, added: "I'm delighted that we've been recognised alongside so many other organisations as a top employer for women.

"It's something we can all be proud of as we've embraced our diverse workforce and made Scottish water such an inclusive place to work."
