Councillors in Dundee have approved a plan to invest almost £1 million in improvement works across more than 200 homes.
Tenders for replacement boilers at houses in the Dens, Blackness and St Mary's areas and replacement roofs in parts of Charleston are included in the programme.
Kevin Cordell, convener of Dundee City council's neighbourhood services committee said: "It is important that we make sure our housing stock continues to meet the standards that we expect in the 21st century and that takes a considerable amount of investment.
"This money will ensure that the residents of these properties have energy efficient and effective boilers and well insulated roofs."
Worth a total of £989,505, the work is recommended to go to Dundee City Council's contract services division. If approved it will start at Dunholm Terrace and South Road later this month, going through the year with the last to finish being the boiler replacements in Corso Street in November.
