GAP Hire Solutions' Joint Managing Director, Iain Anderson has secured a nomination for a prestigious Scottish business award.
Celebrating his 35th year with GAP, Mr Anderson will compete to win the The Institute of Directors (IOD) 'Director of the Year' award in the Family Business category.
When announcing the shortlist for the awards ceremony, David Watt, Executive Director of the Institute of Directors in Scotland, commented: "The Director of the Year Awards are an excellent opportunity to celebrate the achievements of those leading businesses in Scotland. The calibre of nominees is excellent this year and shows the breadth of businesses thriving in Scotland."
Four finalists are shortlisted in the Family Business award category. The winner will be announced at the IoD Scotland Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner at the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central on Thursday 23 May 2019.
David continued: "The nominees are not just business people; they are the leaders who drive our economy and people through times of unease. Our shortlist demonstrates positive leadership, good governance and an excellent skill set which are vital to architecting Scotland's future. Being an accomplished director moves beyond focusing on the financials and must consider the wider aspects that will impact the success of the business – from sustainability to supporting employee wellness."
The winners of the Scottish award categories will also progress to the prestigious UK Director of the Year Awards, which take place in London, in October.
