A new medical centre has been opened in Fort Augustus, four years on since a fire destroyed the former facility.
The Highland Council agreed funding of £50,000 from its Capital Discretionary Fund back in 2016 towards the cost of rebuilding the former Cill Chuimein Medical Centre.
Fort Augustus and Glenmoriston Community Company was tasked with purchasing land and building a new replacement centre.
The Council's Leader, Councillor Davidson opened the new facility earlier this week, 10 April.
Speaking at the event, he said: "It is an absolute pleasure to join the Minister for Rural Affairs and the Natural Environment and members of the Fort Augustus and Glenmoriston Community Company to celebrate in this local tremendous success. This is a major achievement for localism – and local people making a difference in their own communities for themselves.
"The project is also an excellent example of successful partnership working, driven by the Community Company which secured the £1m funding for the rebuild from The Highland Council, SSE Renewables, Falck Renewables, the Scottish Land Fund, NHS Highland and the Glengarry Trust."
NHS Highland also contributed £10,000 towards the project.
NHS Highland chief executive Iain Stewart added: "I am delighted to join the Minister for Rural Affairs and the Natural Environment to celebrate the opening of the new medical centre in Fort Augustus.
"This is fantastic achievement by the Fort Augustus and Glenmoriston Community Centre and a great example of partnership working here in Highland."
