Extensive improvement and upgrade works have been completed at Shotts Leisure Centre, with more than £200,000 invested in the swimming pool and reception areas.

A new spectating area is being created allowing parents to watch their child's lessons and interactive features are being installed in the teaching pool.

A new wall has been built between the main hall and the pool area, which will improve heating levels in both areas. The main hall now boasts new flooring and an improved sound system.

Emma Walker, Managing Director of NL Leisure, said: "The improvements at Shotts Leisure Centre look fantastic.

"The construction of a new wall between the main hall and pool area will vastly improve temperature levels in both areas.

"This, along with extensive pool improvements and upgrades throughout the venue, is sure to give customers an excellent experience."

New front doors have been installed and the toilets have been fully refurbished.

Meanwhile, outside, the car park area has benefited from new lighting.
