Kier Construction Scotland has completed major works on two historic buildings at the University of Edinburgh.

Works totalling £14 million were carried out on the grade A-listed Edinburgh College of Art – upgrading the buildings fabric and internal systems alongside essential improvements such as bringing a previously unused courtyard into use.

Further works, totalling £7.7 million, saw major refurbishment of the grade B-listed Murchison House on the university's King's Buildings Campus.

The former British Geological Survey building underwent an extensive fit-out to transform it into a "dynamic, multi-functional" building.
