East Dunbartonshire Council has announced a special procurement event offering local businesses information about becoming a supplier for public sector contracts.

'New Year, New Opportunities' will take place on Wednesday 16 January 2019 at Kirkintilloch Town Hall, with a range of workshops and demonstration sessions between 10am and 4.30pm.

The event will be led by the Council's Procurement Team, the Supplier Development Programme and Business Gateway officers, and is supported by Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce.

Councillor Billy Hendry, Convener of Place, Neighbourhood & Corporate Assets, said: "This is a special event giving businesses an opportunity to meet the buyers from Council services - with support, information, one-to-one training sessions and more.

"It's a chance to speak to experts and make sure your business is in the best position to tender for work with the local authority.

"East Dunbartonshire has a wealth of new and established businesses - come along and find out how to potentially become a supplier of public sector contracts."
