Water Mains Upgrade Works Underway In Crianlarich

Water mains upgrade works are set to begin in Crianlarich, Scottish Water has announced.

The utility is investing around £120K in improvements to a section of water main to provide customers with additional resilience and security of supply.

Work begins today, Monday 07 January 2019 and involves contractors Clancy Docwra installing 222 metres of new pipework along Station Road from its junction with Main Street. It is expected to take around three weeks for completion.

Road traffic management has been agreed in conjunction with Stirling Council and includes temporary three-way traffic lights at the junction of Station Road and A85. Access to and from Station Road will be maintained.

Road users are thanked for their patience during this essential work.

Ruaridh MacGregor, Scottish Water's corporate affairs regional manager, said: "This investment follows some bursts on a water main in the area and will further reduce the risk of disruption by improving our infrastructure.

"We're sure that our customers in the area will welcome the news that improvements are now under way."
