Construction Scotland Innovation Centre has announced an event to demonstrate how visualisation technologies can advance the oil & gas and construction industries.
Visualisation technology is developing rapidly. As it evolves the number and range of applications is increasing with greater and greater opportunities being identified to benefit both the oil & gas and construction industries.
The event, on Thursday, 08 November, will outline the current status of visualisation within both industries. It will provide businesses with an overview of how both sectors are collecting and utilising the data from turning images into sophisticated 3D models to promoting better decision making and industry productivity.
It will explore the application of Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality technologies and the next stage of their development as they move from a design tool into the realms of building construction, operation and even training and education.
The event will feature:
• 'Welcome', Ian Phillips, CEO, OGIC
• Keynote Stephen Slessor, Ops Director, Infrastructure Scotland, Morrison Construction
• Keynote Andy Till, BP.
Industry speakers include Multivista; Oceaneering; Return to Scene; ClearEdge; Leica Geosystems; CGI UK and RGU.
The exhibition area will feature interactive demo stands. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss their interests and explore the benefits of adopting visualisation technologies with the companies occupying the stands. The event also provides a space for you to discuss future collaborations, business opportunities and much more.
The event is designed for companies of all sizes from the oil & gas and construction sectors who wish to adopt or improve their visualisation technology capacity with a view to improving their business prospects and leading innovation in their sector. It will also be of interest to technology companies wishing to explore synergies and transfer of knowledge between both industries.
The event will begin at 12:00 when lunch will be served and attendees will be able to spend time in the demo area.
