Plans Move Forward To Deliver Better Properties In Arbroath

Plans are moving forward to deliver higher quality properties for Angus Council residents in the Timmergreens area of Arbroath.

The aim is to improve the environment and quality of life for people living in Timmergreens.

Councillor Craig Fotheringham, Housing Spokesperson said: "Council properties in Timmergreens have suffered from low demand for years due to their dated design and historic, 1960s building methods, which, as time and tastes have moved on, have made these properties unpopular, especially in comparison to modern build homes. This is not sustainable in the long term and we are determined to deliver properties that meet tenants and residents expectations."

Council tenants and residents in Timmergreens were consulted on proposals to improve the area in the summer of 2017.
