Dundee Council's External Wall Insulation Programme has been recognised at the recent Energy Efficiency Awards.
The Council came second place in the Insulation and Fabric Project category, and came out on top as Council of the Year.
Neighbourhood Services Convener Councillor Kevin Cordell said: "In Dundee we are committed to combating fuel poverty.
"We are continuing to deliver a high standard of external wall insulation around the city and these awards are the proof of that.
"For the last five years, a number of locations throughout the city have benefited from the installation of external wall insulation.
"This work has helped approximately 5,500 households. The team behind this work together with their partners and have been recognised both regionally and nationally.
"These awards recognise the efforts of all those involved locally in delivering a successful large scale energy saving project."
The council has worked with SSE Energy Solutions over the past five years who has helped transform the city via its Managed Solution and funding support through the Energy Company Obligation.
SSE Energy Solutions has been involved in project administration, contractor procurement, project management and setting the standards when it comes to Health & Safety best practices and governance controls.
Alsecco and Insulated Render Services (IRS) have also helped the Council achieve its accolades with expertise and innovation in insulation.
