CIH Scotland Appoints New National Director

The Chartered Institute of Housing in Scotland (CIH Scotland) has appointed deputy director Callum Chomczuk as its new national director.

Mr Chomczuk, who joined CIH Scotland in March 2018, has stepped up to the position following the departure of Annie Mauger.

He said: "I am very excited to take on this role; CIH is a fantastic organisation with a dedicated membership committed to ensuring everyone has a decent, affordable home. And given the prominence that housing has as a public policy issue I look forward to leading the team here to ensure that decisions made by policy-makers and practitioners are made with access to the best possible information."

CIH chief executive Terrie Alafat CBE commented: "I'm absolutely delighted that Callum is stepping up to lead CIH Scotland's focus on influencing policy, engaging with our members and building partnerships with organisations across the housing sector.

"Annie has been a fantastic advocate for the sector, making the case for 50,000 homes over this Parliament and leading on the development of Scottish Housing Day."

CIH Scotland board chair Esther Wilson added: "I'd like to thank Annie Mauger for the significant contribution she has made to housing in Scotland through her role at CIH Scotland. I wish Annie every success in the future. I am looking forward to continuing to work with Callum in his new role to ensure that housing professionals in Scotland have the advice, support and knowledge they need to continue to be brilliant."
