Scottish environmental and land services provider, The NWH Group (NWH), has opened its first site in England.

Located in Newcastle, the business has already assigned a local operations manager to the site and has created nine further new jobs. Plans are also already in place for further expansion and job opportunities.

NWH currently operates from eight locations across Scotland: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Middleton, Dalkeith, Mayfield, Dundee, Fife and Petterden.

Mark Williams, CEO at NWH Group, said: "We are delighted to be opening our first English site which will enable us to deliver our range of services to businesses in and around Newcastle. This marks a real milestone for us as we continue to forge ahead with our growth strategy for geographical expansion.

"Above and beyond delivering an excellent service to our customers, we are all aiming to make a difference to the environment in which we operate, and we look forward to making a positive impact in Newcastle."

Initially the business will predominantly offer skip hire, and it will gradually expand the core offering to include other environmental, waste and recycling services as well as access to the fleet of NWH vehicles such as tippers, grab lorries, low loaders and ejector trailers.

Andrew Turnbull, NWH's Operations Manager in Newcastle, added: "We are looking forward to getting the site up and running. NWH is a strong family business with a focus on safety and compliance, and an open and friendly way of working which enables us to deliver exceptional customer service. I'm really looking forward to taking this proposition to the market place in Newcastle."
