A number of Langstane Housing Association employees have received a City & Guilds qualification after passing the 'Understanding buildings and managing repairs' training course.

Property Services Officers, Toni Sherriffs, Andrew Kemp, Neil Irvine and Colin Hay all took part in the programme.

The training provided the attendees with the knowledge and understanding of how buildings are constructed, to recognise common maintenance problems and develop the skills needed to successfully manage the administration of reporting building repairs.

Commenting on the team's recent success, Judith Sutherland, Director of Housing & Social Justice, said: "I'm absolutely delighted that the Property Services Officers have passed their City and Guilds qualification providing them with additional knowledge and confidence to carry out their role. They have worked so hard to achieve this great result."

Chief Executive Helen Gauld added: "Langstane Housing Association aims to provide training to enable employees to perform their work safely and efficiently whilst providing the best service possible to our tenants.
