New Community Development Initiative Launched

A new initiative has been launched to encourage communities to positively and actively contribute to local developments.

The 2018-2019 Making Places initiative was introduced by the Scottish government.

Two funding options are available with the initiative.

The Community-led Design Fund will support communities to participate in and lead design events, such as workshops and charrettes. The deadline for funding is 28 September.

Another option, the Place Standard Conversations Fund, will support communities who are keen to develop their understanding of place and build their skills and confidence. The closing date for this option is 31 October.
