Work is continuing to progress on the A9 Dualling project across Perth and Inverness, with public exhibitions expected to take place in Ballinluig next month.
The A9 Dualling scheme is one of Scotland's biggest ever transport infrastructure projects, which will upgrade the road into a dual carriageway.
Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity, Michael Matheson said: "When completed, our ambitious programme will bring many benefits for road users, communities and businesses who live along or use this important route between central Scotland and the Highlands and Islands.
"Road users are benefiting from the new dualled stretch between Kincraig and Dalraddy which opened to traffic last year and advance works have started on the next section to be dualled between Luncarty and Pass of Birnam with construction expected to get underway in the coming months.
"Building on the publication of draft Orders for four sections last year and for the most northerly section of the A9 between Tomatin and Moy in May, this further progress will be welcomed by all those who travel on the road which links the Highlands and Islands to the central belt."
Draft orders are expected to published on further dualling projects shortly.
