A £6.13 million affordable housing development has been completed in Portobello, Edinburgh.
A total of 52 homes have been provided in the former industrial area, with 28 for social housing and the remaining 24 for mid-market rent.
Fishwives Causeway in Baileyfield, Portobello was officially opened last week by Ash Denham SNP MSP for Edinburgh Eastern, and minister for community safety.
It is a development from Port of Leith Housing Association (PoLHA) and its subsidiary company Persevere Developments Limited (PDL).
A combination of private finance raised by PoLHA and an Affordable Housing Supply Programme Grant of £2.8 million funded the project.
The main contractor was Cruden Property Developments and the architect was 7N Architects.
The development forms part of 7N Architects' masterplan for a mixed-use development n the Baileyfield area.
