Work is to begin on a £284,000 road resurfacing project in Seamill, North Ayrshire.
Scotland TranServ will repair around 1km of the A78 at Chapelton. The investment programme follows on from a £1 million trio of resurfacing project that involved carrying out improvements to around 3kms of the trunk road.
In order to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible it will be necessary to implement a convoy system, from 7am to 7pm, weekdays and over the weekend, from Monday, 18 June until Sunday, 24 June.
Jane Maclennan, Scotland TranServ's Assistant Engineer said: "This is the latest phase of a multi-million pounds investment programme into the A78 through North Ayrshire and Inverclyde. Following the Chapelton resurfacing project, we still have a number of other schemes to complete before the end of the year.
"We've been working with local communities, authorities and key stakeholders to better plan and schedule this important programme to be delivered with as little disruption on local communities and businesses as possible."
