Residents are being invited to submit their views over the regeneration of Hamilton town centre in South Lanarkshire.

The deadline for survey submissions on the draft Hamilton Town Centre Strategy and Action Plan is Friday, 15 June.

Council Leader John Ross said the final model for regenerating Hamilton will be used as a basis for other projects in Blantyre, Cambuslang and Larkhall.

"The strategy and action plan has been designed to help improve the town centre," he said.

"It has been arranged in three main headings – potential development opportunities, car parking, transportation and access, and events promotion and initiatives.

"There are significant opportunities within each of these three areas but we really want to hear from people who are using the town centre. I would ask everyone who uses the town centre to take part – it's extremely important that we hear from as many people as possible."
