Road maintenance work is to begin on the A82 in West Dunbartonshire.
Scotland TranServ will begin a scouring programme to deliver long-term improvements to Gruggie's Burn Culvert running under the trunk road, addressing potential issues with the integrity of the structure.
Features include repairing the stonework, supporting wall and stabilisation of the embankment. Downstream it will be necessary to repair existing erosion to the culvert base.
Works will begin on Wednesday, 06 June with completion scheduled for Friday, 29 June.
Gordon Gibney, Scotland TranServ's Structures Delivery Manager said: "We have been working with local authorities and key stakeholders to carefully schedule this programme of works for a time of low impact. With the school holidays and tourism season fast approaching, it is important that we get in and complete this essential project as quickly and safely as possible."
