Water Infrastructure Upgrade Begins In Kintyre

Contractors A&L Mechanical Installations Ltd have started work on a water infrastructure upgrade project in Kintyre, Argyll and Bute.

A local water pumping station is being refurbished and work expected to take around 4 – 5 weeks to complete.

Scottish Water said road traffic management will be in place during this time and has been arranged in liaison with Argyll and Bute Council. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation on a short section of the B842 east coast road between Campbeltown and Southend to allow safe working on site and will result in single file traffic on that stretch.

The utility added it apologises for any inconvenience caused during these works.
